The leader of our third and FINAL Fashion of Dilli photography workshop is Chandan Ahuja.
Chandan took up photography in 2002 and the following year started assisting veteran photographer Raghu Rai, where he obtained the vision to experience photography as an art form.
Chandan had the compulsion to experience his vision and explore his perspective. In 2005 he came in touch with Fashion photographer Ashish Chawla and was introduced to a studio setup.
In Jan 2006 he was a part of the launch team of Marie Claire magazine. Working with Marie Claire for 2 yrs as their in-house photographer, he was exposed to various styles of fashion and lifestyle photography.
Since 2008, Chandan has worked with various other magazines and advertisement agencies. Besides commercial assignments he has also been shooting ongoing projects like Changing Gurgaon, Unseen Taj and Melas of India.
Some of Chandan's clients include Marie Claire, Maxim, Grazia, Men’s Health, BHG , HP, VLCC and NDTV.
We are so excited to have Chandan on board with us. His fashion photography experience and technical know-how will surely make our third Fashion of Dilli workshop an exciting learning adventure!

Here come the very best of our first Fashion of Dilli photography workshop. Chosen for perfectly capturing the spirit of yesteryear as well as for their photographic artistry, these pictures are a glamorous ode to Delhi style and fashion.
Led by Anil Chawla
The Fuschia Tree in conversation with Meeta Singh, make up artist from Mesmerising Effects. Meeta talks about the concept behind our fashion photography workshops, and the inspiration for the three different time periods.
TFT: Hello Meeta. Do tell us a little about the idea behind the workshop focusing on trends from the yesteryears.
Meeta: Thanks TFT! Dilli, as our city is known, is fast emerging as a designer's hub with the best labels in India while still maintaining its old world charm and culture. Delhi of yesterday, that is Kal, was fashion concious even in the 60's, where the elite had an immaculate sense of dressing, very poised and everything in place - be it the chiffon's and the bouffants to the western wear aped by the west.
TFT: What about fashions of today in Delhi?
Meeta: Delhi of today, Aaj, is much more daring, carefree, still aping the west but has its very own identity. Dressing up could be very chic and savvy or it could be very bizarre, it's the attitude today to carry off anything and everything in the name of fashion. Of course, designer labels matter a lot today what with all the best brands easily available here. Make-Up and accessories play a vital role too.
TFT: And how do we envision the style of the future?
Meeta: Delhi of tomorrow, Kal, is very unpredictable. This is actually an imagination of what could happen tomorrow but certainly the look would be much more bolder, with more color or it could even be eco-friendly. Whatever it would be, Delhi certainly is very high on the map for fashion and will remain so!
What a modern, edgy batch of photographs to come out of our second fashion photography workshop. What do you think?

Tomorrow is the big day! Our second Fashion Photography Workshop kicks off under the aegis of senior professional photographer Munish Khanna.
Styled by Mesmerising Effects, this workshop will focus on the fashion of today. A young, confident generation's focus on style and fashion will be explored, with emphasis on lighting, posing and shooting tips and tricks.
Indian fashion today has successfully fused Western trends with an Indian outlook. The young today use fashion as an extension of their personalities and to make statements. Capturing the latest design trends requires skill and technical expertise - to be able to perfectly capture not just the pose, but the emotion behind the face, the statement that the shot is attempting to make, the cultural milieu and social relevance of the picture.
Our workshop will be exploring all these aspects, and much much more...
And as a teaser, here is a portfolio of the models for our second Fashion workshop!
